Pull List for week of July 20, 2016

Dark Horse

Groo: Fray of the Gods #1-
Groo has been one of my favorite characters since I was introduced to him in 1985. He originally was not a stupid person and actually had some brain power to him. He was always destructive and could kill multiple enemies, but the brain power back then? He was a halfway smart guy.
When they changed all that and made him dumb and only gave him a love of fighting and cheese, the books took off.
With this new book, it seems Groo is in familiar territory, finding battles and killing everyone. Only now, people are fighting over religion, and you know how that fares.
I look forward to the continuing misadventures of my favorite swordsman.

DC Comics

Batgirl and the Birds of Prey Rebirth #1-
The Rebirth continues and this time, a new Birds of Prey group is formed but with a throwback to the original. There is a new Oracle who apparently is only helping out the criminal underworld and Batgirl with her new teammates aims to find out who it is.

Batman #3-
The adventure continues for Gotham And Gotham Girl. An origin. Some villains make their appearance. All in all, a good book to be reading.

Green Arrow #3-
Ollie is in trouble and the new villain has him family turned against him. Wha will he do?
Green Arrow, to me, has been one of the better books to come out. I didn't really like the younger Ollie for some reason and I hope things work out well for this book.

Justice League #1-
Rebirth continuesApparently, this book was/is a continuation of the unfinished JLA book

Marvel

All-New Wolverine (2015-) #10-
With alternate history Wolverine hanging out and the Civil War event going on, you just know they're going to be up to their neck in trouble. Plus, it also includes a REAL wolverine who seems to have healing powers.

Darth Vader (2015-) #23-
Who has the power to bring Vader to his knees? It's not who you would think.
With the book ending soon, though I don't know why, this book has been one of the better Star Wars books. But Vader is one of those characters who you want to read about even though he's considered a villain. so I'm guessing that he's going to appear more in the main title.

Deadpool and Mercs For Money #1-
The Mercs branch out in their own monthly series and the wackiness continues. Featuring an appearance by Deadpool's film buddy, Negasonic Teenage Warhead.

Spider-Man/Deadpool (2016-) #7-
The bromance continues and this time, it's in the 70's. Why do they keep going back to this decade? They really need to stop.

Star Wars (2015-) #21-
The POV from a former rebel turned StormTrooper. The book is generally well written and maybe we'll get more stories from the Empire's side, simply because there are stories there that can be told.
